Hyderabad: Following the BRS’s failure to secure any parliamentary seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, party working president KT Rama Rao expressed his disappointment on X. He acknowledged the party’s ups and downs since its founding 24 years ago, emphasizing their greatest achievement, the formation of Telangana state. Despite the setback, Rama Rao promised that the BRS would “rise from the ashes again like a Phoenix.”
Rama Rao highlighted the party’s past successes, including winning two consecutive State elections with majorities of 63 out of 119 seats in 2014 and 88 out of 119 seats in 2018. In the 2023 Assembly elections, BRS secured 39 out of 119 seats, positioning itself as the principal opposition.
