Boy Died after Anesthesia for Eye Surgery in a Super Specialty Eye Hospital in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A teenage boy died allegedly after he has been administered anesthesia before an eye surgery at Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital a super-specialty eye hospital in Hyderabad.

13-year-old Prashanth Reddy, from Allwyn Colony in Kukatpally had been suffering from cataract in the eye and was being treated at Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospital.

Prashanth Reddy was undergoing an eye surgical operation when his health condition worsened, prompting the eye hospital doctors to shift him to a super specialty children’s hospital in Banjara Hills, where he died on Tuesday.

Boy’s father Ganapati Reddy lodged a complaint with Punjagutta police seeking investigation into the cause of death.
