New Delhi: Second straight day after 100’s bodies found floating in Bihar, today again Over 100 bodies, suspected to be that of covid-19 patients, were found floating in River Ganga in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.
Today’s spot is around 55 kilometers upriver from Bihar’s Buxar, where more than a hundred bodies were found yesterday, reminding shock and anger.
Amid fear of people living on near river that the contamination of water will lead to rapid spread of the Covid-19, the local authorities have said that they are investigating the matter.
MP Singh, the District Magistrate of Ghazipur said that, “We have got the information. Our officers are present on the spot and an investigation is underway. We are trying to find out where they came from,”
The locals have complained about the stench and accused the authorities of ineptitude.
