Black Day of Indian Judiciary, Owaisi on Babri Masjid Demolition Judgement

Mr. Owaisi called today as a “black day in the Indian judiciary’’.  He further said that Muslims of India have not got the justice. Moreover, he alleged that the CBI judgement on Babri Masjid was given only to satisfy the Hindutva ideology.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad MP and MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, criticized the special CBI court judgement acquitting all the 32 accused in the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition case and  said that the All India Muslim Personal Law Board would appeal in the higher court against the CBI court judgement, which acquitted all the accused in the Babri Masjid demolition issue.

“This judgment satisfies the collective consciousness of Hindutva and its followers and its ideology. Justice is not done in the case. Everyone is unhappy over the special CBI court verdict,” Owaisi told reporters on Wednesday.

Mr. Owaisi called today as a “black day in the Indian judiciary’’.  He further said that Muslims of India have not got the justice. Moreover, he alleged that the CBI judgement on Babri Masjid was given only to satisfy the Hindutva ideology.

Expressing dismay over the verdict, Owaisi said he was forced to say that “mass violence pays politically’”.

“If you resort to violence one can achieve it. Take the example of the rath yatra of Advani. All know the magnitude of the violence that occurred then, and the lives lost,” he said, adding that the whole world had seen how BJP leaders had provoked the kar sevaks to demolish the mosque.

Mr. Owaisi further reminded the judgement of Supreme Court on Babri Masjid in a civil dispute on Ayodhya issue on November 9 last that it was a terrible violation of rule of law and a calculated act of destroying a public place of worship.
