Hyderabad: AIMIM Senior Corporator Saleem Baig from Riyasatnagar held a media briefing addressing the temple issue in Rakshapuram, Hyderabad, and the protest by Saffron organizations in front of Owaisi School and his house in Jamal Colony.

Right-wing groups, including BJP members, protested in Rakshapuram over the alleged desecration of a religious site. They marched through Muslim-majority areas like Eidi Bazaar and attempted to lay siege to Saleem Baig’s office, accusing him of involvement.

BJP leader MadhaviLatha False claims about multiple temple attacks in Hyderabad, which were debunked by police, who confirmed only one incident in Rakshapuram. The accused is reportedly suffering from mental health issues.

Tension escalated in Rakshapuram, Chandrayangutta, after a mentally unstable man threw stones at a religious site. His mother confirmed that he is receiving treatment at a government mental hospital. In response, a large police force was deployed. MIM Corporators Saleem Baig and Azam met with protestors, condemned the incident, and called for an impartial police investigation. Authorities report that the situation remains tense but under control, with additional forces on the ground.
