BJP Challenges HYDRA to Target Alleged Owaisi School, Calls Congress Crackdown a ‘High Drama’

Hyderabad: The Telangana BJP has challenged the state’s Congress government to demolish buildings allegedly constructed by AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Salkam Cheruvu in Hyderabad’s Bandlaguda area. BJP Legislative Party leader A. Maheshwar Reddy criticized the government’s efforts to clear encroachments, calling it a “high drama.” He accused the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRA) of selectively targeting only a few individuals and common citizens while ignoring illegal structures linked to Owaisi and others in the Old City.

Reddy also questioned why no action had been taken against Congress MLA Danam Nagender, despite a case being registered against him by HYDRA, suggesting that the case was merely a show. The State BJP amplified these claims by tweeting images that allegedly show encroachments on Salkam Cheruvu, including the construction of Fatima Owaisi Women’s College, named after Akbaruddin Owaisi’s daughter. The BJP dared the HYDRA and the Congress-led government to take action against these alleged encroachments.
