Bikes Theft Gang Arrested in Hyderabad, Stole 30 Bikes in 4 Months

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police arrested seven persons, including four minors on Friday, on charges of bikes thefts at various locations in the Hyderabad city and its suburbs over the last four months.

The 7 arrested persons were identified as follows:

Patlavath Raj Kumar alias Raju (19), a catering worker,

S Rohith Kumar alias Rohit (19), an employee in a biscuit company, and

Sharanayya Sagar (22), a tiffin center worker, and Four minors.

During interrogation, the theft gang disclosed they were childhood friends and had stopped studies from SSC due to lack of interest and were using alcohol and marijuana. They were stealing bikes to meet their expenses for alcohol and marijuana. and acted as per the instructions of gang kingpin Raju.

In the previous four months, the seven member gang stole more than 30 motorcycles from the Hyderabad and Cyberabad and some of the bikes were sold at Degloor and Anegaon of Maharashtra, Balanagar in Mahabubnagar district, and some were sold in Hyderabad.

According to Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, Police have seized 30 motorcycles worth Rs 20 lakh from them. Rajendranagar police was keeping tight surveillance on the gang. Based on CCTV footage, the police nabbed the gang at Hyderguda in Rajendrangar in the in the early hours on Friday.
