Hyderabad: Banjara Hills Traffic Police, while conducting vehicle checking at KBR Park, stopped one Innova Car and on verification found that the vehicle was fitted with fake registration number plate which belongs to one Auto. The original registration number of Car is TS 09UC 7162. But the driver of the vehicle fitted a plate with the registration number of Auto TS 07 UC 7162.
Further, it is also found that the vehicle violated over speed rule three times and the challans generated have went to Auto bearing No. TS 07 UC 7162. Moreover, the driver of the vehicle used white number plate in place of yellow plate (Taxi).
The Innova car and driver were handed over to Law and Order Banjara Hills Poiloce for registering a criminal case against the driver.
Hyderabad Traffic Police is regularly booking cases against vehicles using improper and fancy number plate. This year so far 1, 13, and 824 MV Act cases have been booked and 78 Criminal cases were booked against 81 vehicles.
The motorists and vehicle owners are requested to use proper number plates on their vehicles as per the guidelines issued under rule 50, 51 of Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989 only. Stringent action will be taken against the violators who commit such violations.
