Makkah: The crescent moon marking the beginning of Dhul Hijjah 1445 AH (2024) was sighted in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, June 6. Consequently, Friday, June 7, will be the first day of this holy month, with Eid Al-Adha falling on Sunday, June 16. This timeline sets the start of the Hajj pilgrimage for Friday, June 14, and designates the Day of Arafah as Saturday, June 15.

In Saudi Arabia, the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah moon signifies the onset of this significant Islamic month. Eid Al-Adha, one of the most important Islamic holidays, will be celebrated on June 16, following Arafat Day on June 15. Therefore, June 7 marks the beginning of Dhul Hijjah and the Hajj season for 1445 AH.
