Hyderabad, 23 FEB: Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) crisis deepened on Tuesday when majority members of the Apex Council are now joining the president Mohammed Azharuddin.
Azharuddin had called for cancellation of meeting late last night, but the HCA members decided to go ahead with the meeting, while Azharuddin preferred to interact with the “under-19 new selections”, a few meters away from the meeting site.
The members who attended the meeting are R Vijayanand, John Manoj, Surender Agarwal, Naresh Sharma and Councilor P Anuradha and players’ representatives Parth Satwalekar and Subhadra Suri.
Azharuddin president HCA and CAG Santosh V Daware were not attended the meeting.
John Manoj, Vice President HCA said, this was an emergency meeting which Azharuddin wanted to cancel. “All the members, except Azharuddin and Daware, were present.
Vijayanand HCA secretary said that they have made the decision to ‘officially’ hold the Apex Council meeting on Friday and the present meeting was an unofficial one.
HCA member in absence of president, passed unanimously to hold the long pending Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 28.
