Hyderabad: B Satsish an auto driver was arrested by Vanasthalipuram police on Wednesday charges of murdering B Maisamma (60) his passenger also neighbour.

Satish, a native of Kuntloor in Abdullapurmet and resides at Saheb Nagar in Vanasthalipuram, allegedly murdered Maisamma to steal her of her jewelry and buy a new auto, police said.

According to police, after drinking alcohol, Maisamma fell in the auto in a semi-conscious condition, Satish auto driver then took her to an isolated place at Ramdaspally village in Ibrahimpatnam and removed her gold jewelry after killing her. He was not able to remove her silver anklets, Satish cut off both her legs. And to avoid her from being identified, he poured diesel on the body and burnt it.

Satish was taken into custody based on suspicion and during interrogation, admitted to the murder.
