Hyderabad: The AP High Court today ordered an investigation by the CBI into defamatory social media posts on their judgments.

Notice was issued to 49 political leaders and activists of the state’s ruling YSR Congress Party and the agency was ordered to file cases against all who defame High court judges.

The tough action from the AP High court came days after Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy complained to the Chief Justice of India that the High Court Chief Justice and four other judges were acting against his elected government at the behest of a top senior Supreme Court judge, who he said, was close to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
