Ameenpur Revenue Officials Reclaim 20 Acres of Encroached Govt. Land from Politicians and School

Hyderabad: Ameenpur revenue officials reclaimed approximately 20 acres of illegally encroached government land, valued at crores of rupees, from local politicians in Ilapur Tanda, on the outskirts of the city. Responding to complaints, the officials, with the help of earth movers, removed plotting stones in survey number 119 to prevent further illegal development. The operation was conducted under heavy security, with around 70 police officers deployed to ensure a smooth process.

In a separate action, revenue officials demolished sports facilities that were built on government land by Fusion International School in Ameenpur. The disputed land, approximately 15 guntas, had been encroached upon for these facilities. However, the occupants claimed the issue is still being contested in court.

Authorities also indicated that commercial shutters owned by Ameenpur Municipal Chairperson Thummala Panduranga Reddy, built on government land, are set for demolition. During the operation, a room constructed on the encroached land was already demolished.

While it was reported that the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) was monitoring the situation, Commissioner A.V. Ranganath clarified that the demolition was conducted solely by local revenue officials, with no involvement from HYDRAA.
