Hyderabad: Aman Preet Singh, the brother of actor Rakul Preet Singh, was arrested in Hyderabad along with four others for alleged cocaine consumption. The arrest was part of a larger operation by the Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau, Cyberabad police’s Special Operations Team (SOT), and Rajendranagar police, targeting high-profile drug consumers.

Details of the Arrest:

• Location: A flat in Hydershakotla, Narsingi, Hyderabad
• Seized Items: 199 grams of cocaine worth ₹35 lakh, two passports, two bikes, 10 cell phones, and other incriminating materials.
• Arrested Individuals: Aman Preet Singh, Aniketh, Prasad, Madhu, and Nikhil.
• Test Results: All five tested positive for cocaine consumption.

Authorities’ Statements:

• Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty confirmed Aman’s involvement as a consumer.
• Telangana police urged youth and parents to be vigilant about drug abuse and to report suspicious activities.

Background:

• Rakul Preet Singh had previously been summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in 2021 and 2022 for questioning in connection with a drug trafficking and consumption case.
