Thiruvananthapuram: A 21-year-old college student Arya Rajendran, who successfully contested the recent muncipal polls in Kerala, has been elected as next Mayor of state capital Thiruvananthapuram.

Ms Arya Rajendran, a BSc Maths second year student at the All Saints college, has been elected as the new Mayor of Thiruvanathapuram Corporation, making her the youngest Mayor in the state.
