Dignity Houses Handed over to Beneficiaries in Vanasthalipuram by KTR

Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD)  Minister on Wednesday Inaugurated the dignity houses in Bhavani Nagar, Vanasthalipuram.

The government spent about Rs.9 lakh for each apartment while the market value of the same apartment could be more than Rs.40 lakh, KTR said.

The 324 houses are built on 9 floors in 3 blocks spread over an area of two acres.

KTR said while inaugurating that, these 324 apartments are constructed at a cost of Rs.28 crore, are requests beneficiaries and asking them to ensure sanitation and upkeep of their homes.

KTR further said, the State government was taking up construction of one lakh double bedroom houses at a cost of Rs.9714 crore. No other State or city across India in the country was taking up such a massive housing scheme for the needy people as was being done in Hyderabad.
