Doctor Kidnapped from Hyderabad, Rescued from Anantapur by Police

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police (Telangana) with the assistance of the Anantapur police (AP) successfully managed rescued the doctor who was kidnapped from Rajendranagar, Hyderabad on Tuesday afternoon. One kidnapper was allegedly taken into custody by the Anantapur police.

A six-member Kidnappers gang from Hyderabad had allegedly kidnapped Dr. Behjas Hussain (58) from an apartment nearby the Excise Academy at Kismathpur at noon hours on Tuesday and forcefully took him away in their car.

According to police, after a few minutes of kidnapping, Hussain family received a voice message on mobile phone, but the audio was not clear, and they could not make out what the message was.

Based on doctor’s family complaint, the Cyberabad police had called an alert across Telangana and neighboring States after which the gang was traced at Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh. The kidnappers were planning to shift the doctor to Bengaluru in Karnataka.

One of the kidnappers was a tenant of the doctor who stays in the same building. A special police team has left for Anantapur to bring the doctor to the Hyderabad.

VC Sajjanar, Cyberabad Commissioner, and other senior officials were supervising the case.
