Assistant Commissioner of Police Malkajgiri Booked for Disproportionate Assets of 70 Crore

The Anti-Corruption official estimated the value of properties was found to be about Rs 7.5 crore, while the current market value of the same is about Rs 70 crore, the agency said in a press release.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), after searches at half a dozen places belonging to Rachakonda Police Commissionerate’s Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in the for allegedly amassing and disproportionate assets, registered a case against Yelmakuri Narasimha Reddy on Wednesday.
The Anti-Corruption official estimated the value of properties was found to be about Rs 7.5 crore, while the current market value of the same is about Rs 70 crore, the agency said in a press release.
Narasimha Reddy has allegedly purchased assets disproportionate in relation to his lawful sources of income by indulging in corrupt practices and questionable means during his duty.
The search operations were conducted simultaneously in multiple districts of Hyderabad, Warangal, Jangaon, Nalgonda, Karimnagar, and in Ananthapur.
During the searches, Anti-corruption official founds as follows:

  • 55 acres of agricultural land at Ananthapur,
  • 4 plots measuring 1960 sq yards in front of Cyber Towers, Madhapur,
  • 2 other Plots,
  • A Commercial G + 3 building at Hafeezpet,
  • 2 Houses,
  • 15 Lakh cash balance,
  • 2 Bank lockers, and
  • Investments in real estate and other businesses

The search operations are still in progress.
