Case Registered against Telangana BJP President for ‘Derogatory Comments’

A case has been filed against Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Telangana BJP president for his derogatory comments’ which were trying to promote hatred against a particular community. On last Monday, the state BJP president had said that he will “chop off the hands of those who point fingers on Hindu” in Hyderabad.

Amjed Ullah Khan from Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) filed a complaint at Dabeerpura Police Station against the BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar requesting police to take an immediate action against BJP president “for abetting the innocent citizens against one community and promoting hatred messages at large by conducting the meetings with huge gathering and creating videos and spreading on social media only with an intention to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the Telangana”.

The complaint further said “Being the Public representative using such statements which are derogatory in nature, and promoting enmity among one community clearly shows the criminal intention behind this Political Leader… If he is not arrested and put behind the bars, there is a likelihood that other people also will come into their trap to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the state,”

Inspector of Police, Dabeerpura Police Station, N. Satyanarayana said that action will be taken against Kumar after taking the legal opinion.

The Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar vowed to protect those BJP supporters and Hindus, who are facing problems in “the old city of Hyderabad”.

He further said “Hindus in Old City are in fear. They are worried if they will be alive or not. I visited the whole of Old City recently. I gave the Hindus the assurance that I am with them. I asked them to boldly fight. If one hand rises on a Hindu in the old city, what shall we do in the new city? We will chop off one hand here.”

Bandi Sanjay Kumar further said that Hindus are described as communal while Christians and Muslims are called secular. He further hit out at the media for not giving prominence to the news related to the BJP, alleging that the “whole media is sold out to the TRS party”.
