Hyderabad Metro to Resume Operation from 7th September

Hyderabad: Metro Rail in Hyderabad is going to continue its operations from Monday, September 7.  The Telangana government has permitted Metro Rail to begin operations in a graded manner, in accordance with the Centre’s Unlock 4 guidelines.

India’s the second-largest metro train network in Hyderabad was running 55 trains every day, serving 4.5 lakh passengers before services have been suspended by the imposition of lockdown due to the CoronaVirus.

The schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions, cinema halls, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres and similar places shall continue to remain closed all over the State.

From September 21, Social, academic, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, and political functions permitted with a maximum of 100 persons and by following health protocol, will be allowed.

Up to 20th September 2020 Marriage related gatherings will be permitted with a maximum of 50 participants. Last rites with a maximum of 20 people will continue to be allowed and from 21st September a maximum of 100 people will be permitted.

From September 21, Online and distance learning would be allowed and encouraged. A maximum of 50 per cent of teaching and non-teaching staff will be allowed to be called to the schools at a time for online teaching and related work, in areas outside containment zones only.

From September 21, students of classes 9 to 12 will be permitted to visit their schools on voluntary basis for taking guidance from their teachers only if they have a written consent of their parents or guardians from September 21 in areas outside containment zones only.

Strict implementation of lockdown will be in force across all the containment zones till September 30.
