Kannur: Police ASI suspended for attempted murder of petrol pump staff In Kannur, police driver K Santhosh Kumar has been arrested and suspended for attempting to murder a petrol pump employee, Anil, after refusing to pay for fuel. The incident occurred on Sunday at 3:30 pm when Kumar tried to leave the station without paying the full amount. An altercation ensued, during which Kumar accelerated his car with Anil on the bonnet, driving nearly a kilometer on a busy highway. CCTV footage of the event went viral. Anil, who sustained hand injuries, lodged a complaint with the Town Police. Kannur city police commissioner Ajith Kumar confirmed the arrest and suspension of Kumar, and charges, including attempted murder, have been filed against him.
