India Surpasses 500,000 Cases, Single Day Spike of 18,000 Cases in last 24 Hours

Pushed out of hospitals, patients and their families have come to occupy the subway, parks, side walks outside hospital.

It took 110 days for coronavirus infection in the country to get to the one lakh while just 39 days more to go past the five lakh-mark on June 26.

Hyderabad, 27 June: India’s CoronaVirus record raced past five lakhs on Saturday with the highest single-day rise of 18,552 cases, while the death toll rose to 15,685, according to Union health ministry data. 

Last week on 19th June it was less than 4 lakh cases and death were less than 13,000 with the CoronaVirus.

The CoronaVirus cases increased to 5,08,953 including 18,552 cases in the last 24 hours, and death increased to 15,685 including 381 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

It took 110 days for coronavirus infection in the country to get to the one lakh while just 39 days more to go past the five lakh-mark on June 27.

This was the fourth straight day when coronavirus infection increased by more than 15,000 each day.

Hence, around 58 percent of patients have recovered, and 3 percent are among the deaths while 39 percent are still active cases getting treatments in various hospitals across India.

More than 70 percent of deaths took place due to comorbidities, it said.
