Hyderabad: The Humayunnagar police arrested seven individuals for their involvement in a robbery late on Friday. The suspects allegedly stole mobile phones and a gold chain to fund a liquor party.
The arrested individuals are Aijaz Qureshi, Fardeen Khan, N Prashanth, K Sai, P Rajashekhar, Mohd Khaleel, G Abhilash Mohan, and a juvenile. The police recovered an iPhone, a gold chain, and a knife from them.
According to the police, the gang gathered at PS Nagar in Humayunnagar on Saturday evening and planned the robbery. They stopped a car carrying five people late at night, threatened them with a knife, and stole two mobile phones and a gold chain before fleeing.
DCP (southwest) G Chandra Mohan confirmed the arrest. During the press conference, suspect Fardeen Khan claimed a fight occurred with complainant Srimath Kumar over ganja, but the police removed the suspects from the hall.
