4G Internet Being Restored in Jammu and Kashmir After 18 Months

Jammu and Kashmir were the world’s longest-running internet shutdown in a democratic country since August 5, 2019.

New Delhi: According to senior government official told on Friday, 4G internet services are being restored across Jammu and Kashmir states.

The internet was stopped by the government for more than 18 months after they revoke the former state’s special status Article 370, to prevent a reaction against the center’s move for cancelling Article 370.

Rohit Kansal, Jammu and Kashmir administration spokesperson, tweeted. “4G mobile internet services being restored in entire J&K,”

Jammu and Kashmir were the world’s longest-running internet shutdown in a democratic country since August 5, 2019 when the Union government declared to scrap its decades-old autonomy listed in the constitution.
