Haryana: Four people lost their lives in a large explosion at a fireball manufacturing factory in the Daulatabad Industrial Area of Gurugram early Saturday, according to police reports.
A video from the site showed the area illuminated by the blast, with smoke and soot billowing into the night sky. Around 24 fire engines were deployed to control the blaze. Fire officer Ramesh Kumar noted that blasts were still occurring as the fire tenders arrived, and nearby buildings also sustained damage.
The deceased have been identified as Kaushik, Arun, Prashant, and Ram Avadh. At the time of the incident, 15 people were reportedly inside the factory. A five-member team has been formed to investigate the cause of the accident. Witnesses described hearing explosions throughout the night, and nearby companies suffered significant damage from the blast.
